
We are all getting older, so there has never been a more important time to prioritise physical activity. Despite its benefits, global activity levels are declining with age.
Population statistics
Globally, our population is getting older. The number of people above 65 is increasing faster than the those below that age.
And what is worrying is that 1 in 2 Australians over 65 are not sufficiently active!
Activity Guidelines
The Australian Government suggests people over 65 engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity on most, if not all days of the week.
This could include activities such as brisk walking, swimming, walking a round of golf, cycling, tennis or even yard work/gardening.

There is an endless list of benefits of exercise.
When it comes to ageing, some important benefits include: improving cardiovascular health, building muscle strength and bone density and improving cognitive function.
