Whiplash is a type of neck injury that is caused by a sudden, forceful movement of the head. It is most often caused by a rear-end car accidents, but can also be caused by other types of accidents, such as falls or sports injuries.
The symptoms of whiplash can vary from person to person, but they include:

Neck pain

Numbness or tingling in the arms or hands

Muscle spasms

Difficulty sleeping

Difficulty concentrating
In most cases, the symptoms of whiplash will improve on their own within a few weeks. It’s much less likely, but some people may experience pain or other symptoms that last for months or even years.
